Startup Grind has expanded to now (www.startupgrind.com) 40 chapters in 15-countries that educates, inspires, and connects entrepreneurs. The event has become more and more successful and always has some very interesting guests as well as speakers. This month is Andy Liu from Buddy TV.
Andy Liu is CEO of BuddyTV, the largest independently held TV site on the Internet. He is also an avid investor, with investments in Everymove, Chirpify, EnergySavvy and several others.
Prior to BuddyTV, Andy served as President and CEO of NetConversions from 1999-2004 prior to its sale to aQuantive and served as VP and GM of its Site Optimization unit from 2004-2005. He is a huge fan of creating companies and according to Andy, “I probably have more perseverance than most when it comes to the roller coaster ride and I’m a total addict when it comes to building companies now.” He’s also a founder of a non-profit focused on technology in developing countries and is very passionate about entrepreneurship. He brings deep experience in building companies, site optimization, SEO, community building, and product development. In 2003, he was named to Puget Sound Business Journal’s 40 under 40 and holds an MBA from Wharton.
It is all about sharing information and connecting with others that will help start or continue the success of local companies. It is attended by founders, want-to-be founders and development people looking for opportunities. It has proven to be a great networking event for our clients who have attended and I would personally like to invite you to come to our next event on Jan 29th at 6pm. We will have food, wine and beer provided and it will end at approximately 9 pm.
